Requirements and deadlines

For students applying to French universities

General requirements:

  • A completed application form;
  • A scan of the first page of your international passport;
  • A language certificate (DELF, DALF, TCF ...);
  • A CV in French with a photo. Applicants who have chosen the standard or advanced package  can provide their CV in Russian or English;
  • A notarized copy of your school-leaving certificate including the annex and their notarized translation into French. Quartier Latin can order notarized translation in France for you;
  • A notarized copy of your diploma with the annex and their notarized translation into French (if you already have your diploma) and/or statement from your university report. It must cover your education from the first year and include the number of hours of study. It must also be translated and notarized;
  • A motivation letter.

 

For students entering secondary schools

  • Letters of recommendation from teachers of foreign languages, the class teacher and teachers of the core subjects. Additionally, the educational institution may request a recommendation from the head teacher and its notarized translation into French

 

Language requirements

Your level of French must be confirmed by DELF/DALF/TCF certificate. Most universities have the following requirements depending on the program:

Please note that these are average statistics and there are schools with easier conditions.

 

Deadlines for the submission of documents

Attention! Deadlines may vary depending on the institution and the country of your citizenship.

Quartier Latin advises that you do not delay the preparation of documents and start collecting information at least one year prior to the scheduled start of education. It is a long and unpredictable process and at each stage, there may be some difficulties that prolong the process and delay your plans.
