Student residences

In many student cities, there is the opportunity to stay live in a private residence or dormitory. Living conditions there are very different - some differ little from regular campuses you would find in the CIS countries, but in most cases, they are much more comfortable. Anyway, you can be sure that in a residence, you will have no strict warden, you will be able to come at any time and even your relatives and friends will be able to visit you for a little time.

In terms of residences, they are often almost fully-fledged apartments with a private bathroom, a kitchen and an equipped working area. Depending on the residence, the building might have its own laundry, gym, and on the territory of the campus, there could be a swimming pool or even a park.

There is also a network of residences, which is known as CROUS. In terms of comfort, residences of this type are the closest to campuses in Russia and the CIS, and it is somewhat harder to get a place there than in paid residences, though it is much cheaper.
